1. Acceptance of Terms
By downloading, installing, or using Mochi Pet ("the App"), you agree to these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, please do not use the App.
2. Description of Service
Mochi Pet is a virtual companion application that uses on-device artificial intelligence to simulate a virtual pet experience. The AI runs locally on your device and does not require an internet connection for core functionality.
3. Eligibility
Mochi Pet is available to users of all ages. If you are under 18, you should review these terms with a parent or guardian. In-app purchases require authorization from the Apple ID account holder.
4. User Content
All content you create within Mochi Pet (pet names, conversations, etc.) is stored locally on your device. You retain full ownership of your content. We do not access, collect, or store your content on any external servers.
5. In-App Purchases
The App offers optional in-app purchases including cosmetic items and a subscription ("Best Friend Pass"). All purchases are processed through Apple's App Store and are subject to Apple's terms and conditions.
- Best Friend Pass: Auto-renewable monthly subscription at $2.99/month. Cancel anytime through your Apple ID settings.
- Cosmetic Items: Non-consumable one-time purchases that unlock permanent items.
- Consumable Items: Items that can be used once and may be repurchased.
Refunds are handled by Apple according to their refund policy.
6. Intellectual Property
The App, including its design, artwork, code, and AI models, is owned by Mochi Pet and protected by copyright and intellectual property laws. You may not copy, modify, distribute, or reverse engineer any part of the App.
7. AI-Generated Content
The AI in Mochi Pet generates text responses dynamically. While we strive to make the AI produce friendly and appropriate content, AI-generated text may occasionally produce unexpected results. The AI's responses do not represent the views or opinions of Mochi Pet's developers.
8. Disclaimer of Warranties
The App is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. We do not guarantee that the App will be error-free or uninterrupted. AI performance may vary based on device capability.
9. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Mochi Pet shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of the App.
10. Changes to Terms
We may update these terms from time to time. Continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated terms. We will update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page.
